Reclink Australia acknowledges Kim Smith APM, after he was confirmed by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as an invitee to the upcoming funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
At the Palace’s invitation, 10 Australians who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities and who represent our culture and our values will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, alongside the Prime Minister and Governor-General on September 19.
Kim was instrumental in setting up Reclink’s presence and service delivery in Tasmania, particularly through sport and recreation programs for disadvantaged community members at the Hobart PCYC, which were later replicated in other suburbs. This work continues to this day.
The Board of Reclink Australia thanks Kim for all his efforts, and the outstanding recent recognition given.
