The Imparja Cup is a celebration of cricket and Indigenous culture. The 2016 carnival was held at Traeger Park in Alice Springs on the 8th to the 15th of February in Alice Springs.
The carnival’s importance continues to grow as a cultural and sporting event and once again we were pleased to see the Reclink Rebels cricket team have an outstanding carnival.
Competing in the Community Men's Division, the Reclink Rebels continued their strong form of past years as they won the crown. In the decider, the Rebels made 3-130 before dismissing the Rainbow Valley Stars for just 4-87. A fine effort in the hot, dry conditions.
Congratulations to the Rebels and who knows they might just be Three-Peat winners in 2017.
