Breaking New Ground in Work Readiness

Reclink Australia continues to break new ground with its Work Readiness programs.

Reclink Australia is committed to delivering work readiness programs that focus on assisting participants to develop work skills which contribute to each job seeker’s future employability. The Reclink work readiness program incorporates structure and routine to emulate a workplace and activities are conducted in a group environment to enable participants to develop positive interpersonal interactions.

There are now 25 sites operating in South East Queensland, 5 sites in Victoria and we are pleased to announce the establishment of a new site in Margate, Tasmania - The Margate Community Project.

The Margate Community Project will deliver a multi-faceted landscaping project at Margate Seventh Day Adventist Church. Participants will be engaged in redeveloping landscaped areas in common areas and constructing raised vegetable and garden beds.

The primary goal of all Reclink Australia's Work Readiness initiatives is to provide participants with the skills necessary to improve their employment prospects. This activity will provide Job Seekers the opportunity to increase their skills in areas such as trade’s assistant, grounds work, gardening, landscaping, horticulture and permaculture, basic carpentry, metal work, project administration, creative & artistic skills.

On site at Margate, participants will receive training in construction and renovation, general woodworking and carpentry skills and developing landscaped feature gardens and raised garden beds.

The project will build capacity and infrastructure within the Margate community.

We look forward to keeping you up to date with this and other projects that Reclink Australia are developing.
