Reclink Australia is proud to announce our selection as the only successful Australian recipient of the FIFA Foundation Community Programme - a global initiative using the power of football to drive social change. As the sole organisation representing the Australia-Pacific region, Reclink joins 138 other non-government organisations across 57 countries and six continents delivering football-based programs that make a difference.

This funding will support the launch of Reclink’s two-year football pilot in Western Sydney, inspired by the energy and community spirit ignited during the 2024 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Our project is designed for disadvantaged youth aged 12 to 24, and offers weekly fun, safe, and inclusive football sessions, including dedicated programs for women and girls, culminating in a vibrant end-of-year tournament that celebrates participation, connection, and growth.

Western Sydney’s Cumberland Shire is one of Australia’s most culturally diverse communities, home to residents from more than 150 countries. Many young people in the area face significant barriers, including economic hardship, unemployment, and social isolation. Reclink is committed to addressing these challenges through sport, recreation, and community engagement.

This new initiative builds on the success of Reclink’s Movember Cup, and uses football as a platform to build confidence, mental well-being, cultural safety, and a sense of belonging. Our project also offers leadership opportunities for young women and will promote lifelong healthy habits.

Reclink’s football program directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Gender Equality (Goal 5) and Good Health and Well-being (Goal 3).

We are working closely with local partners, schools, and community groups to ensure the program is inclusive, responsive, and impactful.
