Reclink Australia's amazing choir, The Transformers, have been singing up a storm. Below is an update from the choir leader, Mike Meade.
Hello Friends of The Transformers
The Transformers are gearing up for their end of year concert for family and friends.
The choir undertook two performances recently, each very different from the other, but both proved to be lots of fun. On 20th September the choir sang at the Brisbane Square Library, in a beautiful room (the End Room) and was well attended by family and friends. Everybody had a great time. The performance at Sanity Fair was in the outdoors on a very hot day. The choir performed well and the event was enjoyed by everyone.
There was no time to bask in these performances as the choir gears up for a special end of year concert in December. I Like To Sing is the name of the concert and it will be held at State Library of Queensland in their beautiful Queensland Terrace. This is a great venue and it will be a free event open to family, friends and anyone looking to experience a great afternoon of music and song.
A snippet of the talent on hand can be seen in the video below.
The Transformers will be headlining this event and will be joined by guest artists. Good Company are a vocal group lead by Erin Murphy and comprising of some of the best singers in Brisbane, including our own Rosalyn and Angie West (from The View from Madeleine’s Couch). This will be a real treat for us all. There will also be a number of solo spots to add to a complete afternoon’s entertainment.
We hope you will all join us for this event (details below). The choir will have one more ‘choir day’ following this event which will bring the year to a close. But we will be back again next year for another year of singing.
