Reclink is proud to welcome two new supporters on board, two massive names in music and sport in the Tasmania Football Club and Fender.
The Reclink Community Cup is known for uniting the sport and music industries — and this year that spirit is captured in a rare piece of memorabilia now up for auction with proceeds supporting Reclink Australia. Iconic guitar brand Fender has joined forces with the Tasmania Devils to produce a one-of-a-kind Tasmania Devils Fender Player II Telecaster® guitar.
Crafted with Fender’s signature design and playability, the guitar features a Modern “C” neck profile with satin finish, a comfortable 9.5” radius fingerboard with rolled edges, and 22 frets — making it a dream instrument for players and collectors alike. This is the only guitar of its kind, and winning the auction is the only way to own it.
Funds raised from the auction will directly support Reclink Australia’s life changing sport and recreation programs.
Reclink CEO Dave Wells said the auction highlights how music and sport can come together to make a difference to communities facing disadvantage.
“For more than 30 years, The Reclink Community Cup has bought together members of the music and sporting community to raise money for Australians doing it tough. We are so thrilled to be part of this partnership between Fender and the Tasmania Football Club,” said Dave Wells, Reclink Australia CEO.
“The Tasmania Devils Fender Player II Telecaster® guitar is more than just another guitar. Every bid will help us to increase communities’ connections and drive participation in sport. We’re excited to have Fender and the Tasmania Football Club on board and can’t wait to see this incredible guitar find its home.”
The Tasmania Football Club has also thrown its support behind the initiative.
"Community and partnerships are both so important to our Club. To be able to incorporate the Devils into the annual Reclink Community Cup through the Fender guitar is an awesome way for us to support this great event," James Creak, Tasmania Football Club General Manager Commercial and Partnerships.
"The work that Reclink does across the Tasmanian community is so important. Footy participation at all levels creates positive impact across Tasmania and we are proud to be associated with partners playing their role in this impact. We wish all of the participants the very best for the upcoming game, no doubt it will be played in great spirits with lots of laughs and great times for all involved."
