aaaplay.org.au has been relaunched to meet WCAG 2.2 AAA guidelines, with a fresh new design and improved functionality.
Features of the new website include updated modern branding, improved accessibility with easy-to-use navigation, screen reader compatibility and a focus on content to make it easier to find inclusive sport and recreation activities.
“The disability community played an essential role in co-designing the new aaaplay website. The result is a website that is clear, easy to navigate and meets the highest accessibility standards.
We identified that the website was outdated and didn’t meet accessibility standards. It needed updating because, for people with disability, it can be the difference between inclusion and exclusion.
As an organisation, we know that sport and recreation have a positive impact on inclusion and physical and mental health. aaaplay is crucial to connecting people with disability, to sport and recreation activities in their area.
For over 10 years, Reclink has proudly worked with the Victorian Government to deliver aaaplay and we are proud to deliver one of the first truly accessible websites in the State,” Dave Wells, Reclink Australia CEO.
aaaplay.org.au has been independently audited to ensure it meets WCAG 2.2 AAA guidelines* so that more people, including people with disability, can access inclusive sport and recreation activities in Victoria.
